Ryan Lynch - Director/Producer
After years crafting strategy and stories for billion dollar companies on Madison Avenue, Ryan Lynch flirted with the scary idea of change. Spurred on by a ski crash that nearly took away his ability to walk, Ryan left advertising and teamed up with Director/Producer Matt Walker to start Story Developing, the goal was to tell stories the world wanted to hear...sometimes with the help of brands, other times not.
A few short branded videos followed by a feature length videogame documentary paved the way to what Story Developing would look like today – we make documentary and branded content. In our time we've worked with some interesting people: Pharrell, Jamiroquai, Common, Marina Abramović, and Daniel Arsham. Some big brands including Cadillac, Take-Two Entertainment, Madison House Presents and CAA. We've won a few awards along the way, played film festivals around the globe and hopefully most of all, changed the way people see the world for the better.
Ryan produced a film, COYOTE, and worked with first time director Thomas Simmons to bring the story of sailor Mike Plant and his historic around-the-world sailing adventures to the big screen. To date, the film has sold out nearly all of its festival screenings, won the Audience Award in its US Premiere and was hailed as "The Best Sailing Movie Ever" by the sailing blog, Sailing Anarchy.
